Bailey Fisher’s Partner and Head of Life Sciences & Health Technology, Zoe Robson, welcomed CEOs to the 6th Women in Life Sciences (WILS) breakfast earlier this month, in partnership with Rachel Bradley, Partner at Penningtons Manches Cooper LLP

Zoe and Rachel were joined by a peer group of life sciences CEOs at the Babraham Research Campus for breakfast and an informal discussion around the morning’s two topics – Preparing for investment/acquisition/IPO and Fostering the perfect team.

Founded in 2022, WILS has grown organically, welcoming a loyal and ever-expanding group of start up and scale up CEOs to share insights and discuss the challenges of growing their business.  The format is informal, with a warm welcome and the opportunity for CEOs to share issues relevant to their business journey in a relaxed peer group setting.

Highlights from the May event topics included the different level of scrutiny to expect when preparing for IPO, investment or acquisition; the importance of having a good team of advisors, lawyers, accountants & NEDs around your business; legal pointers to consider, such as IP, personnel, data room, NDAs. Importance of core values; sharing and getting whole team buy-in to the company vision; infrastructure for a sustainable culture as a team grows.

The next WILS breakfast will take place in Q3.
