Ann Fisher

Non-Exec Director; CEO - Women 4 Technology

Ann co-founded Bailey Fisher Executive Search in 1998 and spent 20 years driving the growth and development of the business alongside co-founder Paul Bailey, before a successful MBO exit in July 2018.  Ann continues her involvement as Non-Executive Director.

A strong advocate for diversity and inclusion in business, in 2008 Ann founded Women 4 Technology, a business networking forum for 1,500 international entrepreneurs, investors and leaders.  Launched in Cambridge, Women 4 Technology expanded to London in 2009 and Manchester in 2018. Ann continues as CEO of Women 4 Technology.

In recognition of the role that Ann has played in the entrepreneurial community, she was nominated as one of the Top 25 Most Influential Business People in the Cambridge Technology Cluster.  Since 2015 she has worked with Silicon Valley Comes to the UK to co-ordinate a series of high-profile Cambridge events for entrepreneurs, investors and business leaders.  She is a mentor on the Techstars Barclays Accelerator and a Business Special Interest Group Champion for Cambridge Wireless.

Ann is a Trustee of the Hirsch Trust and was previously a member of the Cambridge Campaign Committee for the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, leading to the opening of a state-of-the-art new facility in 2016.

During Ann’s career she has helped build leadership teams for entrepreneurial businesses across the UK, working in Cambridge, London, Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle and Middlesbrough.  Early in her career she founded a recruitment business which she built to a successful exit, and worked as Head of Finance for an early stage software company, having trained with a Top 10 Manchester accountancy firm.

“Bailey Fisher has been the key intermediator between innovative growing companies around greater Cambridge and the best talent available worldwide to support their growth for over 2 decades. It commands respect for its professionalism and for the role it plays in supporting the diverse needs of the region’s businesses.”
