SVC2UK Cambridge took place on 1 & 2 November 2016, commencing with “Artificial Intelligence: Impact on Industries by 2026”, on 1 November from 5.00pm – 6.30pm in the Debating Chamber at the Cambridge Union Society.
AI experts from the UK took to the stage alongside leading international entrepreneurs to offer a transatlantic perspective on the industries that will be transformed the most by artificial intelligence over the next 10 years. Guest speakers included:

This event was followed by dinner for 100 invited guests, and business breakfast roundtables the following morning for 35 founders, serial entrepreneurs, investors and academics on Scaling AI in the UK.
The Cambridge events formed part of a larger programme of SVC2UK 10th anniversary events taking place across London, Cambridge and Manchester.

In 2014, Sherry Coutu’s ‘Scale Up’ report was published, highlighting recommendations for cities, governments, entrepreneurs, corporates and academia on how to support a greater number of scale ups in the UK. This event embraced the topic for our Cambridge community by hearing from entrepreneurs who have scaled up their own businesses and could share their thinking on the ground breaking technologies that will help shape the next wave of scale ups.
This year’s Cambridge event was organised by Bailey Fisher Executive Search and presented in partnership with Cambridge University Press, Barclays and Google for Entrepreneurs. The event formed part of the larger SVC2UK programme taking place across London, Cambridge and Manchester that was led by London & Partners.

Bailey Fisher Executive Search is pleased to have assisted ZeroLight with the appointment of Francois de Bodinat as CMO.
ZeroLight is the world’s most advanced car configurator solution, creating engaging configurators using real-time 3D visualisation to drive a live, interactive scene of the car. Incorporated in 2014, ZeroLight lists Audi, Jaguar Land Rover, Pagani, IBM and Samsung amongst its clients and partners. ZeroLight was recently nominated for the Financial Times Boldness in Business Awards 2016, and has already picked up numerous awards for innovation.
To support rapid expansion, ZeroLight was looking to identify a CMO to take the message about the company’s game-changing technology to market. Bailey Fisher Executive Search was engaged to manage the search, resulting in the successful appointment of Francois de Bodinat.
Francois brings extensive experience of marketing, business development, product management and start up venture internationally, following leadership roles in Europe, Japan and the US. Immediately prior to joining ZeroLight Francois was Senior Marketing Manager at Amazon.
