Paul Bailey, Founding Partner & Managing Director of Bailey Fisher Executive Search, has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of Nesta Impact Investments, a £17.6m fund investing in life-changing innovations that help tackle the major challenges faced by older people, children and communities in the UK.

Launched in 2012, Nesta Impact Investments invests between £150k and £1m in high impact innovations run by outstanding entrepreneurs, to create real and lasting social impact in the UK, as well as generating a financial return for investors.

Paul Bailey joins the investment committee at Nesta Impact Investments alongside Eric Archambeau, currently Managing Partner at Wellington Partners;  Belinda Vernon, who was until 2012 Co-director of Research & Consulting at New Philanthropy Capital; and Ernie Richardson, previously Managing Partner at VC firm MTI Ventures.

Paul Bailey has spent over 25 years working in the executive search market across the UK and Europe.  In 1998 he co-founded Bailey Fisher Executive Search, a boutique firm focused on delivering executive search and advisory services to the high growth technology market.  Paul has worked with some of the UK’s finest technology companies including ARM, Cambridge Silicon Radio and Domino, as well as start-ups that have subsequently been acquired by Apple and Google.

Paul is a founder member of the steering committee for the ideaSpace Enterprise Accelerator and a member of the Board of Cambridge Ahead, a business and academic member group dedicated to promoting the successful long term growth of Cambridge and the region.  He is a regular speaker at the Judge Business School MBA programme and a founder of The Perse Enterprise Conference, an annual event designed to help students aged 15-18 develop their interpersonal and leadership skills, their understanding of business and the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship. Until recently, Paul was an advisor to New Wave ventures, a privately owned fund investing in companies with significant growth potential.
