Great season for Olivia Breen - 22/01/15❰ Back
Paralympic athlete Olivia Breen is an ambassador for the national children’s charity Dreams Come True, which is our charity partner organisation.
Olivia had a great 2014 season in which she was selected to represent Wales at the Commonwealth Games in the long jump and narrowly missed out on a bronze medal, coming fourth.
From Glasgow she went to the IPC European Championships in Swansea and competed in the long jump, 100m and 4 x 100 metres, winning silver in the 4 x 100m, bronze in the 100m and coming fourth, with a personal best, in the long jump.
Olivia returned to the Athletics Academy at Oaklands College in St Albans where she has been training hard. Last weekend she was delighted to achieve a new personal best in the 60m at the Southern England Athletic Association’s indoor competition at Lee Valley by taking 1/2 second off her previous best time. She has another 60m race on 1st February and is then off to Dubai at the end of February to compete in the IPC Grand Prix for Team GB.
Olivia’s big competition this year is the IPC World Championships in Doha in October with Rio Olympics looming ever closer!
Dreams Come True is a national charity that enables children and young people with life limiting conditions to fulfil their own dreams.
