Edwina Dunn to speak at Women 4 Technology - 21/05/15❰ Back
Bailey Fisher Executive Search is delighted to announce Edwina Dunn as guest speaker at the next Women 4 Technology event for female business leaders in technology.
Edwina is Co-founder of Dunnhumby and creator of the Tesco Clubcard, an innovation that transformed Tesco, doubling its market share in little over a year, and changed retailing forever. Edwina’s innovation prompted the Chairman of Tesco at the time, Lord MacLaurin to comment “you know more about my customers after three months than I know after 30 years.” As CEO, Edwina led the growth of Dunnhumby from a team of 2 in 1989 to 1500 employees reaching 350m customers in 25 countries, before selling the company to Tesco in 2010. Edwina is now heading up a new venture, Starcount, which tracks the activity of 1.7bn people across the major global social networks. She has set up What I See, a not-for-profit aimed at broadening women’s career horizons and is Chair of Your Life, a government scheme to encourage more children to study STEM subjects.
Edwina will talk about Understanding your customers as well as sharing insights into leading a business through rapid growth.
This event is hosted in support of the national children’s charity, Dreams Come True. The charity’s mission is to bring joy to children and young people with serious and life-limiting conditions by making their treasured dreams come true. Over the past 25 years Dreams Come True has brought happiness and joy to many thousands of children as well as their friends, families and carers.
This event is sponsored by Grant Thornton, Mills & Reeve and FieldHouse Associates.
