Claire focuses on high impact hires in pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical devices, working closely with a broad base of clients from early stage VC funded companies through privately owned SMEs to large corporates on roles including CEO, Chair, COO, CSO, CMO, Medical Director, Head of R&D and Director of Pharmacology. Claire brings deep sector experience and a global network of contacts, together with a research background unique in executive search in this sector.
Recently Claire led the search for a CEO for an early stage, academic spin-out funded by a Swiss fund, and was re-engaged to work with that fund to appoint a Head of R&D. Other recently completed mandates include working with investors to appoint a Chair for a disruptive high-growth business; appointing an Interim Operations Director for AIM listed life science company, Horizon Discovery and a Commercial Director for an AIM listed functional foods company. Claire’s current assignments include a Chair search for a plc.
Claire is a member of a steering committee with Professor Alan Barrell which organised a series of visionary life sciences seminars across Cambridge, Leuven and London, looking at next generation genetics and regenerative medicine. Plans are in place for the series to be expanded to include Heidelberg. Claire co-hosted an event with Silicon Valley Bank on ‘Encouraging the next generation of Life Science Entrepreneurs & CEOs’, and hosts Bailey Fisher’s programme of events for the Life Science & Health sector.
Claire has a background in executive search in Life Sciences, having first worked in the sector in 2008, and holds a BSc in Medical Biochemistry and a PhD in Immunopharmacology.
