Barry Morris

Bailey Fisher is pleased to have assisted Undo, a pioneer in the development of new software execution record and replay technology, with the appointment of Barry Morris as its new CEO with immediate effect.

Barry will take over the role from co-founder Dr Greg Law, who has to date been performing a dual CEO/CTO role. Greg will now dedicate his time and focus to operating as Undo’s CTO, developing Undo’s technical capabilities in line with evolving customer demand.

Barry has swapped one Cambridge for another, moving from Cambridge, Massachusetts based NuoDB, to operate out of Undo’s Cambridge UK headquarters. A serial entrepreneur, Morris founded NuoDB in 2008 and most recently served as its Executive Chairman.

With over 25 years’ experience working in enterprise software and database systems, he is a prodigious company builder, scaling start-ups and publicly held companies alike. Morris, who was CEO of distributed service-oriented architecture (SOA) specialists IONA Technologies between 2000 and 2003, built the company up to $180m in revenues and a $2bn valuation.

Greg Law commented, “We have achieved our early stage goals. With the industry-changing technology we have built, the customers we have signed up and the funding we have secured, it is time to move to the next stage of the plan, with an A-player to lead the company in its high-growth phase.

Undo has grown rapidly in recent years, growing headcount to 40, with a world-class engineering team in Cambridge and an experienced enterprise sales organisation in San Francisco. In July, the company announced that it had secured $14 million in series B funding, and has to date, raised over $20 million in venture funding from leading venture capitalists.

Anthony Rice

Bailey Fisher Executive Search is pleased to have assisted Fourex, the World Money Exchange Self-Service solution, with the search for a CEO, resulting in the appointment of Anthony Rice.

Fourex serves customers across the UK at automated locations by providing currency exchange for 150 currencies in banknotes and coins, including domestic cash. Offering a first to the global market, Fourex is set to revolutionise the way in which consumers exchange money. Fourex kiosks are able to accept unsorted coins and notes, that are both in and out of circulation, from over 150 currencies at the same time, and pay out in either GBP, Euros or American Dollars in a fraction of a second.

The CEO search for Fourex was led by John Bridger, Technology Associate at Bailey Fisher, and resulted in the successful appointment of Anthony Rice.  Anthony has extensive global experience within dynamic currency conversion, including global leadership roles within Travelex based in both the UK and US.

Rob James

Bailey Fisher Executive Search is pleased to have assisted Apple with the search for a Head of Software Development.

Bailey Fisher was engaged to run a global search to identify an experienced individual with the combination of excellent technical and managerial skills, to take responsibility for managing and leading the team that owns the Siri product.

The search resulted in the appointment of Rob James, who brings experience of working with a range of customers globally, and leading teams to deliver technologies within extremely challenging time frames.

Founded in 2007, Cambrionix develops and supplies a range of highly-sophisticated electronic components and intelligent USB device management products to a variety of customers globally. The company’s customers include hospitals, schools, consumer homes, and SME and large corporate organisations.

Richard Baker

Bailey Fisher Executive Search is pleased to have assisted GeoSpock with the search for a CEO, resulting in the appointment of Richard Baker.

Founder, Dr Steve Marsh, who has led the company from inception and built a world-class computer science team, will transition to the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Steve will remain on the Board and will continue to lead research, development, and engineering and will provide strategic guidance for the company.

Richard brings extensive blue chip and start-up experience combined with proven leadership having held commercial senior executive and board roles in telecoms, technology, media, and financial services companies. Most recently, Richard was the co-founder and CEO of Cleartrade Exchange (CLTX), a fintech commodity futures exchange headquartered in Singapore, that was sold to the European Energy Exchange, part of Deutsche Börse Group, in 2016.

Bailey Fisher assisted loyal client u-blox with the search for a Director of Market Development – Automotive, resulting in the appointment of Saroj Panda.

u-blox is a global leader in wireless communications and positioning semiconductors and modules for the industrial, automotive and consumer markets. A lot of companies are developing and distributing chips and modules for wireless communication and positioning, but u‑blox is dedicated to do it in an excellent way and with the focus on the customers and their applications. The company invests heavily in R&D to provide the market with products and solutions for the Internet of Things.

Bailey Fisher was retained by u-blox to manage the search for a Director of Market Development with a focus on the automotive industry.


Gillian Ewers

Bailey Fisher Executive Search is pleased to have worked with PragmatIC on the search for a VP Marketing, resulting in the successful appointment of Gillian Ewers.

PragmatIC is a world leader in ultra-low cost flexible electronics, enabling the potential for trillions of “smart objects” that can sense and communicate with their environment. Their unique technology platform enables integrated circuits thinner than a human hair to be embedded in any surface, introducing interactivity into a wide range of everyday items. At a fraction of the price of conventional silicon chips, PragmatIC’s products enable a vast range of new applications from intelligent packaging of fast-moving consumer goods, to wireless traceability of documents for security and identification.
PragmatIC is headquartered in Cambridge, England and has a production facility based at the National Centre for Printable Electronics in Sedgefield. Their growing customer base includes large multi-national customers across a number of sectors, including consumer goods, packaging, security printing, and mainstream electronics.

Having recently secured £18 million funding, PragmatIC engaged Bailey Fisher to identify an experienced marketing executive to help drive the commercial growth of the company at this exciting stage of development.



Rhodri Thomas

Bailey Fisher Executive Search is pleased to have worked with Spectral Edge on the search for a CEO, resulting in the appointment of Rhodri Thomas.

Bailey Fisher was engaged by image fusion technology leader Spectral Edge to manage the search for a CEO to drive the next stage of the company’s development.

Spun out of the University of East Anglia (UEA) Colour Lab, Spectral Edge aims to improve the viewing experience of images, videos and TV content by delivering the perfect picture for each individual viewer. This is achieved with patented image fusion technology which can combine visible and invisible information in real-time on consumer devices, to enhance detail, aid visual accessibility, and create ever more beautiful pictures.

Rhodri Thomas joins Spectral Edge from London-based predictive keyboard technology pioneer SwiftKey, which was acquired by Microsoft in April 2016.  As Chief Commercial Officer of SwiftKey, Rhodri oversaw significant company growth and was responsible for all business development activities including relationships with major mobile platforms, other apps and technology partners, as well as establishing the company’s San Francisco Bay Area presence. Prior to SwiftKey Rhodri held a number of product management and business development roles at companies including Unisys, Convergys, Texperts and kgb.

Rhodri’s appointment followed Spectral Edge’s oversubscribed £1.5 million 2016 funding round.



Francisco van Zeller

Bailey Fisher Executive Search is pleased to have worked with FinTech company Netwealth on the search for a CMO.

Netwealth provides an online discretionary wealth management platform direct to the consumer market. Bailey Fisher Executive Search was mandated to identify and attract a Chief Marketing Officer to lead the online and offline marketing strategy for the business.  The search resulted in the successful appointment of Francisco van Zeller.

Francisco brings to the role a wealth of experience in digital marketing and sales within both global corporates and venture-funded start-ups. His background comprises senior marketing roles across Europe and Asia, including for Samsung in both London and Seoul.
