Bailey Fisher Executive Search is pleased to have assisted Endomag with the search for a Clinical Development Director, a new position created to lead the company’s clinical activities during a period of rapid growth.

Endomag is a venture backed medical devices business, providing a better standard of cancer care for patients around the globe.  The incidence of cancer is growing, and with it the demand for better, faster and less expensive solutions for diagnosis and treatment. With the aim of bringing cancer care to everyone, everywhere, Endomag is developing a clinical platform that uses safe magnetic fields to power diagnostic and therapeutic devices, avoiding the safety, workflow and availability concerns of ionizing radiation. Endomag was founded in 2007 as a spin-out from University College London and the University of Houston, and is backed by investors including Draper Esprit. The company has won a number of awards including an Innovate UK SME Innovation Award, was a finalist for the prestigious MacRobert Award from the Royal Academy of Engineering (2015), and more recently was awarded a Queen’s Award for Enterprise Innovation.

The Clinical Development Director search was managed by Iain Hopper, Director of Health Technology & Life Sciences at Bailey Fisher.  The search resulted in the appointment of Matthew Womack, who brings extensive experience within both early stage growth business and big pharma.

Heiner Dreismann

Bailey Fisher Executive Search is pleased to have worked with Sense Biodetection on the search for a Chairman, resulting in the appointment of Heiner Dreismann.

Sense Biodetection Limited (Sense) is an early stage, venture backed molecular diagnostics business, based in Oxford and Cambridge.  Following an international search, Bailey Fisher sourced Heiner Dreismann, a leading light in molecular diagnostics, with 35 years’ experience leading high-growth businesses on a global basis.  Heiner was previously President and CEO of Roche Molecular Systems, the world leader in molecular diagnostics.

During his tenure at Roche Molecular Systems, Heiner oversaw the substantial growth of the PCR business, with revenues doubling in five years.  In his earlier career at Roche, Heiner led the integration office of the successful acquisition of Boehringer Mannheim into Roche Diagnostics, and went on to become Head of Global Business Development with responsibility for the entire diagnostics business.

Commenting on his appointment, Heiner said: “I am delighted to join Sense at this exciting stage in its development and to be in a position to help the company achieve its ambitious plans.  Sense has a compelling proposition and a significant opportunity to transform the IVD field with a new class of molecular diagnostic product.”

Debra Leeves

Bailey Fisher Executive Search is pleased to have assisted Vertual with the search for a CEO, resulting in the appointment of Debra Leeves.

Vertual is a growing technology company, spun out of the University of Hull in 2007, to develop the commercial opportunities of VERT, a unique virtual reality training system for radiation therapy.

Bailey Fisher was mandated to find a high-performing commercially minded business leader to drive the company towards further revenue growth at an exciting time in its development.

The search resulted in the appointment of Debra Leeves, who brings 25 years’ international commercial experience in medical science and technology.

Jane Cooke

Bailey Fisher Executive Search is pleased to have assisted our client Ieso Digital Health with the search for a Executive Vice President – Human Resources.

Ieso Digital Health delivers one-to-one, clinically led online cognitive behavioural therapy for people dealing with mental health conditions. Ieso aligns with health policy, using technology to bridge the gap between physical and mental ill health. The company offers evidence-based psychological interventions to increase access, improve waiting times, optimise cost savings and achieve excellent performance outcomes using data-driven quality control.  Ieso has operations in the UK and the US. The company recently raised $24m in funding led by European VC firms Draper Esprit and Touchstone Innovations; and was recognised as one of the UK’s Top 10 Disruptors in the 2017 Sunday Times Virgin Media Business Disruptors Fast Track.

Bailey Fisher was engaged by the Chairman of Ieso to manage the search for a high calibre, commercially astute HR leader with experience of working within both a high growth technology company operating in the UK and US; and a more corporate culture.   The search was led by Iain Hopper, Bailey Fisher’s Director of Digital Health & Life Sciences.

The search resulted in the successful appointment of Jane Cooke. who brings extensive experience working in high-growth multinational companies across continents.  Most recently Director of Organisational Development at Frontier Developments, Jane spent 10 years heading up HR for Abcam plc, setting up HR functions in the UK, US, Japan and China.

Mike Evans

Bailey Fisher Executive Search was pleased to assist our client, Grant Instruments, with the search for an International Trade Non-Executive Director.

Grant Instruments is an independent privately owned company, well-established as a global leader in the manufacture and design of equipment for sample preparation, scientific analysis and data acquisition, providing solutions to international scientific and industrial markets.

Iain Hopper, Director of Digital Health & Life Sciences at Bailey Fisher was engaged to manage the search.  The brief for the International Trade Non-Executive Director was to identify a seasoned board level executive with knowledge of the challenges presented to an international business; and the ability to support a strategy for further international growth.

The search resulted in the appointment of Mike Evans, who had previously led the growth and successful exit of Oxford Gene Technology to Sysmex, as CEO.
