SDI designs and manufactures scientific and technology products for use by the life science, healthcare, astronomy, consumer manufacturing and art conservation markets through the Synoptics brands (Syngene, Synbiosis and Synoptics Health), the Atik Cameras brand, the Opus Instruments brand (Osiris), Sentek, Astles Control Systems, Applied Thermal Control as well as the recently acquired, Quantum Scientific Imaging.

Jon joined the Board in July 2018 and has over 35 years of business experience. Prior to joining SDI he was Divisional VP of Finance, Electronic Instruments Group at Ametek, Inc. where his principle duties included performance management, M&A, business controls and accounting for several scientific and industrial instrument businesses.
Jon started his career as a financial analyst and then management accountant for various industrial companies in the UK and Italy, before undertaking his MBA at Columbia Business School. Subsequently he held senior financial management roles in Germany, the Netherlands, USA and UK including at Philips Electronics and Broadcom Inc.

Congenica, the global provider of clinical genomics interpretation software, has announced the appointment of Wendy Britten as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective 1st September, 2018.
Wendy will have overall control and responsibility for all financial aspects of the business and will play a key role in business development and fundraising activities.
A finance professional with experience in senior financial leadership roles, Wendy joins Congenica from AstraZeneca, where she headed up the Group Finance Business Performance team, working with the Senior Executive team. Prior to this, her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) started in Audit, progressing ultimately to Director of M&A in both London and New York. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Sheffield.
