We were delighted to welcome international serial entrepreneurs to the historic Debating Chamber at the Cambridge Union Society, alongside 400 CEOs, company founders, business leaders, academics and entrepreneurial students from the Cambridge ecosystem and wider UK technology sector.  The topics discussed were ‘Trends and New Opportunities in Healthtech and Edtech’, and ‘Scaling up and building a world class business’.

Guest speakers in Healthtech and Edtech were Daniel Kraft, a physician, inventor and advisor at the forefront of healthtech innovation; inventor, engineer and start-up advisor Catherine Mohr and serial Edtech entrepreneur John Katzman.  Speaking on Scaling up were consumer electronics visionary Corinne Vigreux; serial entrepreneur and computer scientist Rahul Vohra, and scale up entrepreneur & internet marketing expert Hillary Mickell.

This event was followed by a VIP Dinner at Queens’ College, Cambridge for 100 guests.   Guest speakers at the dinner were Dan Sandhu, CEO of Edtech company Digital Assess; Emily Mackay, Founder/CEO of crowd funding aggregate Crowdsurfer; Emily Orton, Marketing Director of cyber security firm Darktrace and Goncalo de Vasconcelos, CEO of equity crowd funding platform Syndicate Room.

The events were sponsored by Barclays, Cambridge University Press and Google for Entrepreneurs, and formed part of a larger series of Silicon Valley Comes to the UK events taking place across London, Cambridge and Manchester in association with London & Partners.
